❚ At around 2pm on Monday July 9 on the Isle of Mull, a 71-year-old man conducted himself in a disorderly manner by shouting and swearing. Police subsequent­ly traced and charged him and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

❚ At around 6pm on Monday July 9 on Campbell Street, Oban, a 72-year-old man drove a vehicle in a careless manner and collided with another vehicle but failed to report the matter. He was charged and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

❚ During the early hours of Wednesday July 11 in High Street, Oban, a 28-year-old man seriously assaulted another man. He was subsequent­ly traced by police and charged, with a reported prepared for the procurator fiscal.

❚ Between 11pm on Thursday July 12 and 10.30am on Friday July 13, a break-in occurred at the China Restaurant, Stafford Street, Oban, when a number of items were damaged and stolen.

❚ About 3.30pm on Friday July 13 at a flat in High Street, Oban, two men and two women were searched by police. A man aged 28 was found to be in possession of a quantity of cannabis and a man aged 36 was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of heroin. They were arrested, charged and a report was be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
