A craft fayre is being held at Duncansbur­gh Church Hall, the Parade, Fort William, on Saturday September 22 from 11am to 3pm. There will also be a pop-up cafe organised by Lochaber Rotary Club. Contact Chris on 07900 928515 for more informatio­n.

Fort William and District Table Tennis Club’s 2018-19 season starts on the Monday, September 24. The club plays every Monday at the Nevis Centre in Fort William from 6.45pm until 9pm. For more informatio­n ring Jim on 01397 706060.

Representa­tives of Caol-based Lochaber Sensory Care for sight and hearing support will be visiting Lochaline on Tuesday September 25. A team of staff and volunteers will be at Morvern Medical Centre from 10.30am until 12.30pm to offer free advice and help to those living locally with sight or hearing loss. They will also supply NHS hearing aid batteries, provide re-tubing for the hearing aids and assist with any difficulti­es.

Lochaber Sports Associatio­n is hosting its annual general meeting on Wednesday September 26 at 6.30pm at Lochaber Rugby Club, Banavie.

There is live music at Fort William Baptist Church on Sunday September 30 from 7pm. The event will be followed by refreshmen­ts. The evening is in aid of the extension fund. All welcome.

A new group, Lochaber Ladies, will hold its first meeting in the Montrose Centre at Inverlochy on Monday October 1 at 7.15pm. All welcome.

From October 3-5, a special ‘open house’ event regarding proposals for a new cinema in Fort William, will be held in the DV8 building in Cameron Square. Running each day from 11am-7pm, Highland

Cinema Open House will include designs on view by Skye-based architects Dualchas. Owner Angus MacDonald, above, will also be on hand to discuss the project and answer questions.

Lochaber Women’s Aid will be hosting their annual general meeting at 5.30pm on Wednesday October 10 at Voluntary Action Lochaber offices, An Drochaid.
