VIEW FROM THE CHAMBER
International trade is a huge area for growth in the Highlands and Islands.
Whether in goods or services, Lochaber has fantastic potential to grow our local businesses into international businesses.
International trade can be anything from selling postcards online to exporting tonnes of timber – and it can cover any area and industry.
No matter how big or small, there is a world of opportunity out there for business, but it can be difficult for smaller firms to know where to start and where to go for expert guidance.
That is why we are running an informative seminar on ‘navigating the world of international trade’ as part of Lochaber Ideas Week in November. The event is open to all Lochaber businesses of any size.
Everyone is welcome to come and find out more about how the world of international trade could open new doors for them.
International trade expert Ewan Ramsay will host the interactive session exploring the opportunities and challenges of international business and consider what the future may hold for trade after Brexit.
We will also be joined by representatives from HIE, Enterprise Europe and the Highlands and Islands Local Export Partnership to make sure that you are aware of the breadth of support available to all businesses in Lochaber and surrounding areas.
If you are already doing international business or you are interested in dipping your toes in international waters, don’t miss this great chance to find out what it could do for your business.
The event takes place on Tuesday November 13, 1.303.30pm, at the Moorings Hotel. Book your free place on www.lochaberchamber.co.uk or call the chamber team on 01397 705765 to register.
