Lochaber athletic club hold first winter league race
Lochaber Athletic Club (LAC) kicked started its winter league on Sunday (November 18) with the Cow Hill race, which saw 54 runners stretch their legs for the first time this winter.
On a chilly November morning, the race was run in perfect conditions with no wind and bright sunshine the whole day as runners raced from Braveheart car park in Glen Nevis around the Cow Hill circuit. Esmond Tressider of LAC set the pace and finished in first place, followed closely by Denis Prikulis of Vegan Runners. Behind them were Alfie Bentley and John Yells, both of LAC.
LAC juniors were also in action and racing on Cow Hill, but their race started from Glen Nevis Visitor Centre. Again the conditions made for some quick times with Jack Stephen, Maddison Macmillan, Duncan Macdonald, Mya Carmichael and Felix Deschenes winning their age categories respectively.
