Oban’s Robert MacIntyre is hoping he can go from strength to strength after recording two top-15 European Tour finishes in the recent South African Open and the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
After competing in South African Open the in Johan-nesburg, Robert moved on to the €1,500,000 Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Country Club in Malelane, South Africa last Thursday.
In the first round Robert carded a two under par 70 with four birdies and two bogeys.
Round two saw the 22-yearold finish with a one under par 71 which featured two bogeys and three birdies.
The third round was a bit up and down with two double bogeys at the 7th and 8th which might have floored anybody else but the young Glencruitten golfer battled back with five superb birdies and he only dropped one more shot at the 10th to finish a level par round of 72.
For the second time in a week the great Ernie Els was his partner for the final round with Bob finishing one under in a round of 71. He carded four bogeys and five birdies to finish the tournament four under par with a four round total of 284 which clinched him 15th place for the second week in a row.
Robert will now take a festive break back home before going to the United Arab Emirates for the $7,000,000 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship preseted by EGA. The tournament takes place from January 16 to 19.
