BJJ and MMA

Oban MMA continues to have students training for upcoming competitions and has restarted its beginners BJJ syllabus.

The monthly seminar with head coach Marcos Nardini was busy with students going over the De La Riva guard and the intricacies of sweeping opponents from this position.

Marcos had positive feedback on the progress of students in the club, which was great to hear.

The MMA side of the club has been concentrating on striking and setting up takedowns which is proving to be popular and good for everyone’s cardio.

Coach Coogie Potter said: ‘Our classes are not just for those with ambition to compete or fight, but also for those who would just like to learn to defend themselves or get fit. We are always looking for beginners to start BJJ or MMA.’

If you would like to try BJJ or MMA, Oban BJJ can be found on Facebook or email coogiepots@gmail.com
