Islay – United Auctions on Thursday October 17 sold 278 calves. 137 Bullock calves averaged £675.95 (-£15.61) to £1010 for a 398Kg Lim cross from Ardnave Farm and averaged 229.58p/kg (+1p) to 304p/kg for two 296kg Lim crosses from Ardnave. 141 heifer calves averaged £595.32 (+£14.94) to £900 for a 340kg Lim cross from Ardnave and averaged 209.67p/kg (n/c) to 287p/kg for a 272kg Lim cross also from Ardnave Farm.
