Friends of Nevis will hold its AGM on Friday November 1 at Glen Nevis Restaurant, at 6.30pm. A short meeting will be followed by a talk from climber Helen Rennard. Finger buffet (£5 donation requested).

A children’s Hallowe’en party will be held in Strontian village hall on Friday November 1, between 6-8pm. Children can enjoy spooky games, disco, party food, fancy dress competitio­n. Entry is £2.

Sunart Cinema Club is showing What We Do In The Shadows (15c) – a spooky comedy featuring vampires learning to live in modern day life – on Friday November 1, at Sunart Centre. Doors open 7pm, film starts 7.30pm. Adults £5, under 18s £3.

A quiz night will be held at Lochaber Rural Education Centre, Aonach Mor Road, Fort William, on Saturday November 2. Teams of four, £5 per person including buffet. Starts at 7pm. There will be a raffle and people can byob.

An evening of music and songs, entitled The Praise Gathering, will be held in Fort William Baptist Church on Sunday November 3, at 7pm. The event is being held in aid of Mission Aviation Fellowship.

The 10-Pin Bowling Team league restarts on Monday November 4 at the Nevis Centre, Fort William. Please turn up on the night or call 07710 940917.

Strontian Bonfire Night and Fireworks, Tuesday November 5. Free entry, donations at the gate. From 7pm.

Lochaber Sensory care will hold an outreach clinic at the Mallaig Health Centre on November 5 from 1.30pm3.30pm.

Lodge Locheil No 1200 will hold a Centenary Celebratio­n in Lochaber High School on Saturday November 9. All brethren welcome. Ceremony starts 1.30pm with meal to follow. Evening ceilidh in Banavie
