Drug possession

A woman aged 19 was searched and found in possession of cannabis at 9.40pm on Monday November 11 on Ferryfield Road, Connel. She was issued with a recorded police warning.

Men arrested

About 4pm on Wednesday November 13, on Corran Brae, Oban, two men aged 30 were allegedly seen running from police. Subsequently, a quantity of heroin was found where the men had been. They were later arrested and charged and a report will be submitted to the fiscal.

Police were called to a car crash involving two vehicles at 6.45pm on Friday November 15, on the A816 at Kilmore. Subsequently, a man aged 32 was arrested for allegedly driving dangerously and failing a roadside breath test.

Assault allegation

Two men aged 35 and 37 allegedly behaved in an abusive manner at 9.30pm on Saturday November 16 in Shore Street, Oban. The 35-year-old allegedly assaulted another man. Later that night, at licensed premises in Oban town centre, the 37-year-old allegedly assaulted another man. Police were called and he was arrested, charged, held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal. The 35-year-old will be charged when he is traced.

Car damaged

The back bumper of a blue Mazda CX5 was allegedly damaged by another vehicle which failed to stop and report the incident sometime between 10am and 2pm on Saturday November 16 in the road next to the Columba Hotel, Oban.

Charged

A man aged 22 was arrested and charged by police with being in possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) at 12.15am on Saturday November 16 on George Street, Oban. The man was released and will appear in court later.
