About 8.50pm on Tuesday December 3, in Cruachan Crescent, Oban, an 18-yearold woman allegedly behaved in an abusive manner and assaulted another woman. Police attended and the woman was arrested, charged, held for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

About 11.40pm on Wednesday December 4, police stopped a car in Corran Brae, Oban, and the man, aged 22, who was driving was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. The man was charged with the offence and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

About 5.15pm on Thursday December 5, in High Street, Oban, a man, 30, was arrested for allegedly behaving in a threatenin­g and abusive manner towards a woman. He was charged, held for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

The same man was arrested about 3.25pm on Friday December 6 in Albany Street, Oban, for a separate offence whereby the man allegedly behaved in a threatenin­g and abusive manner towards staff at Oban Social Work Department office on the morning of Thursday December 5.

The man was charged, held for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

About midnight on Saturday December 7, a man allegedly assaulted a member of staff at Solas, Albany Street, Oban. A man, aged 45, was arrested, charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Between 5pm on Sunday December 1 and 10.30am on Tuesday December

3, a container located near to the Fishnish ferry slip, at Criagnuire, Mull, was broken into and two Stihl saws and a Husqvarna chainsaw were stolen. Police are investigat­ing the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any informatio­n to contact them on 101 or anonymousl­y through Crimestopp­ers on 0800 555 111.

About 9.10pm on Tuesday December 3, in Fionnphort, Mull, a man was allegedly assaulted by another man and subjected to racial abuse. Police are investigat­ing the incident.
