About 1.20pm on Tuesday December 10, on Main Street, Taynuilt, a 45-yearold woman was stopped by police while driving her car. The woman allegedly provided a positive breath test, was arrested and was released on an undertakin­g to appear at court later.

About 1.50pm on Tuesday December 10, on the CalMac Pier, Oban, a 65-year-old man was stopped while driving a car. The man allegedly provided a positive breath test, was arrested and due to the high reading he was detained in custody pending a court appearance.

In the early hours of Sunday December 8, a woman was allegedly assaulted by another woman within licensed premises in Oban.

About 8.25pm on Thursday December 12 a man was arrested at a Dunbeg address after allegedly being found in breach of special bail conditions issued by Oban Sheriff Court. The man, 29, was arrested and detained pending a court appearance.

About 8pm on Wednesday December 11 a charity collection tin was stolen from The Grill House, Combie Street, Oban. After extensive local enquiries a man was traced in relation to the incident.

Police on Mull received a report of fraud after a woman transferre­d a large sum of money to a business account believing it to be genuine and payment for work being carried out at her address. The recipient account turned out to be fraudulent and the woman contacted the police on the advice of her bank. Officers are continuing to investigat­e the incident.

About 5pm on Sunday December 15 a man caused a disturbanc­e at licensed premises and elsewhere in Tobermory. Police attended and the 23-year-old was arrested and detained pending his appearance at Oban Sheriff Court on Monday December 16.
