Ballet West bring Swan Lake to Corran Halls during New Year tour
Ballet West’s new year tour of Swan Lake will be led by principal guest artists Norton Fantinel and his wife Karina Moreira.

Ballet West, which is based in Taynuilt, Argyll, will present 12 performances in seven venues across Scotland, including Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The production has been adapted by Ballet West’s artistic adviser Daniel F Job.
It attracted international acclaim when it was performed by Ballet West’s professional International Touring Company in Malaysia in autumn 2018. tour opens at Halls, Oban, on
Norton Fantinel and Karina Moreira, who are from Brazil, are former soloists with the Ballet du Capitole, Toulouse.
Norton takes on the role of Prince Siegfried and Karina will dance the dual role of Odette and Odile.
They will be supported by a total of nearly 100 young dancers from Ballet West’s Upper School in Taynuilt and students from the Ballet West High Performance Lower School in Oban, including 2019 Genée International Ballet Competition medallist Ashton Parker and fellow finalist Caitlin Jones.
In addition, 200 students on the Associate Programmes in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow will be taking part in local performances. The tour, which begins in Oban, will visit Livingston, Dundee, Glasgow, Greenock and Stirling, ending at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on February 16.
