MACCALLUM - Iain and Carol Zall, in Boston, USA, are delighted to announce the birth of their son Alasdair Michael on December 10, 2019. A second grandchild for Bill and Mary MacCallum, Fernoch Park, Lochgilphead.
THWAITES - Colin and Rachel are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter Freya Isabella, on August 1, 2019 in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow, a sister for Rhuaridh, and a first granddaughter for both families.
DEATHS
CLARK - Jean Clark of Dervaig, Mull passed away peacefully aged 96 on December 11, 2019. Our thanks go to the Craignure hospital staff for their wonderful care. Her funeral service will be on December 27 at 2pm at Perth Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Any donations if desired can be made to the RNLI and will be received at the crematorium.
HENDERSON - Anne Henderson, Camusaine, Strontian. Peacefully on December 18, 2019. Beloved wife of the late John Alec and mother of Duncan and John Angus. Funeral service on Monday, December 30 at 1pm in Acharacle Parish Church.
MACNAUGHTON Peacefully, in the loving care of Eadar Glinn Care Home and with her daughter by her side, in her 88th year, on December 19, 2019, Jessie nee MacGill, formerly of McCaig Road, Oban, much loved wife of the late Peter MacNaughton, beloved mum of Cathy and mother-in-law of John, a dear sister and aunt. Funeral will take place from Oban Parish Church, Glencruitten Road, Oban on Friday, December 27 at 1.00 pm, thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Retiring Collection/ Donations if desired for Eadar Glinn Residents Comfort Fund. TIERNEY (SMITH) Peacefully with her 3 daughters by her side, on December 14, 2019, at the Vale of Leven Hospital, Frances, aged 63, much loved mum of Kerry, Patricia and Lindsay, a dear mother-in-law, granny, sister and auntie. Funeral took place at St. Columba’s Cathedral on Friday, December 20. May she Rest in Peace.

MACKENZIE - Heather and Cameron and all the family of the late Flora would like to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy, flowers, cards and support given after our recent very sad loss. Grateful thanks to Dr Wallace and to the District Nurses and all the team at Craig Nevis Surgery, for their care of Mum over many years. Thanks also to the carers at Lochaber Day and Night Owls for their support. Special thanks to Rev. Richard Baxter for a comforting service, and to all at John McLellan Funeral Directors for their support at a difficult time. It was wonderful to see so many family and friends at the funeral and so good to meet up at the Moorings afterwards. Finally thank you to all who donated the very generous sum of £734.00, which has been sent to the District Nursing Team at Craig Nevis who helped Mum over many years. Flora will be very sadly missed.
