UA sold 178 store and breeding cattle, followed by 142 sheep of all classes. Bullocks averaged £729.66 (+£9.72) and sold to £1,000 for a 410kg, CharX from 136 Stilligarry and heifers averaged £676.19 (+£87.53) and sold to £875 for a 430kg CharX, also from 136 Stilligarry. Bullocks averaged 222.88p/ kg (+13.95p) to 284p/kg for a 250kg, LimX from 29 Claddach, North Uist and heifers averaged 205p/kg (+21.25p) to 254p/ kg for a 240kg, SalX from 2 Grimsay Island. A good show of naturally shown calves were on offer and met a spirited demand selling to a good following of mainland buyers. A small show of sheep met a buoyant trade with lambs averaging £56.04 (+£12.78) and ewes averaging £40.22 (+£7.09).
