Saturday February 8, Beinn Chabhair, Glen Falloch.

It’s long, curving NW ridge is festooned with crags, some of which enclose an intriguing lochan.

Start from the Inverarnan Hotel at NN318184. Head N on the A82 for 300m, then turn right to Beinglas farm. Head up the steep path, past the waterfall, and continue along N side of Ben Glas Burn to Lochan Beinn Chabhair.

Follow the ridge about 1km to a cairn, thence to the summit on top of small crag.

Return to the *col then continue over Meal nan Tarmachan, 719m and Stob Creag an Fhithich, 715m, and down to Lochan a’ Chaisteil at the foot of the imposing cliff of Ben Glas.
