Top class insight into Inverlochy
Inverlochy Primary School staff say they are delighted so many families took up their invitation to find out more about what goes on in their classrooms.
Families got the chance to see what the school does in a number of key areas and staff heard what families think in a relaxed environment.
Depute head teacher Tanya Ross was pleased the event was so well attended as opportunities to engage with families are important to the school.
She said: ‘Thank you so much to everyone who came along for helping make the event such a success.
‘This event allowed us to highlight some of the many great ways in which literacy, numeracy, wellbeing, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education, music, outdoor learning and the early years are covered at Inverlochy primary and nursery and, importantly, to allow us to hear the views of our families over a cup of tea.
‘At Inverlochy, we work closely with a range of valued partners and were delighted and grateful our class band music tutors, educational psychology, social work, Stramash and Women’s Aid came along to share information on the amazing work they do with some of our children. We truly value working with each one of them.
‘Our enthusiastic pupil council used this event to hold an art show showcasing each child from primary one to seven’s artwork. A fabulous variety of Scottish inspired artwork was admired by everyone.’
