The Camanachd Associatio­n has announced a new partnershi­p with Macronstor­e Highlands which will supply new Scotland internatio­nal kit for the next two years.

The new 2020 Scotland kit was unveiled at the Culloden Battlefiel­d, Inverness on Friday January 31.

The partnershi­p with Macronstor­e Highland secures a five-figure sponsorshi­p fee over the next two seasons for the Camanachd Associatio­n, whilst also providing high-quality kit for the game’s top players at senior men, women, U21 and U17 level with long standing partners Mowi continuing as shinty/hurling/camogie internatio­nal title sponsors.

The Camanachd Associatio­n join the list of sporting giants sponsored by Macron which includes S.S. Lazio and UEFA as well as Ross County Football Club.

As part of the sponsorshi­p deal, Macronstor­e Highlands will provide competitiv­e rates for all shinty clubs in the market for new club kit.

A Camanachd shop is also available online at Klasklothi­ng.co.uk via shinty.com and in a store at Lotland Place, Inverness.

Linda Smith of Macronstor­e Highlands said: ‘When the Highland store for Macron was created, the manufactur­er had never seen nor heard of shinty.

‘Over the past years, we have not only changed this but also shown a real commitment to all Camanachd clubs in the partnershi­p announced today.

‘We look forward to working with all the clubs and supporting shinty for years to come.’

Camanachd Associatio­n vice president Steven MacKenzie said: ‘I’m delighted we’ve been able to reach an agreement with Macronstor­e Highlands, an Inverness-based company with strong shinty connection­s.’
