Pet prestige makes tails wag at village inn
Ben Cruachan Inn fought off some stiff competition to be voted Scotland’s Best Pet Friendly Hotel at the national Prestige Hotel Awards, while Cameron Hill was highly commended in the general manager category.
These latest honours come as another great accolade for the Lochawe-based hotel, which already has awards for the Best Gastropub and Central Scotland, the Best New Food and Drink Business, and the Green Tourism Silver Award.
Owner Tracey Peedle said: ‘We have always sought to be dog friendly – we love dogs and our customers love bringing their dogs with them when they come to visit.
‘We have run a dog of the month competition for the past 12 months, where customers post pictures of their four-legged friends enjoying a visit to the inn, and each month our staff team vote for their favourite.
‘We have just awarded our dog of the year from the monthly winners to Mags – who gets to bring her owners for an overnight stay.
‘When dogs visit the Ben Cruachan Inn, they can expect free doggy biscuits, water bowls and a lot of fuss from our staff. If they are really good, their humans might even buy them a doggy beer.
‘We are also delighted that our manager Cameron Hill has been recognised for his attentive, knowledgeable and professional service, and for leading our fantastic team. He has brought lots of new ideas to the business, including making us super pet-friendly.’
Voted for by the public, Scotland’s Prestige Hotel Awards were created to showcase and reward outstanding service within the hotel industry.
