Where there’s a will their is a donation to hospice

-

Fort William solicitors, MacPhee and Partners, have raised £1,670 for Highland Hospice by participating in the charity’s Make a Will Month initiative, writes Fiona Scott.

MacPhee and Partners’ solicitor, Olivia Bridge, said: ‘We were delighted to support Highland Hospice at this difficult time, knowing many of their fundraising events had been put on hold. The response from both our new and existing clients was fantastic.’

With lockdown restrictions easing, MacPhee and Partners are, once again, able to offer home visits for wills and powers of attorney for those clients who cannot attend the office.

Highland Hospice’s corporate fundraiser, Karen Duff, said: ‘Thank you so very much to Olivia and her team for supporting our Make a Will Month and to all the clients whose donations contributed towards this wonderful total.

‘Not only are they looking after their loved ones by securing their legacy, they are also supporting the work of Highland Hospice and their local community in Lochaber.’

Receiving the cheque on behalf of Highland Hospice was the charity’s Fort William shop assistant, Carol Shankley, who said: ‘We are so grateful to MacPhee and Partners. The people of Lochaber are very supportive of Highland Hospice and our Fort William shop is one of the most successful in the Hospice chain.’

‘Progress on reopening the new High Street location, has been stopped due to lockdown but, once it is up and running, the branch will require extra volunteers.’
