The Oban Times

WHERE IS THIS?

- editor@obantimes.co.uk KAT MCDONALD

That’s the first week back at work almost done and dusted and what a shock to the system it was.

Joe and I are only part-time at the moment but even that left me bemused, but happy.

I’ve missed seeing people so much, but on Monday it felt really strange being surrounded by bustle again and it took a few minutes to get used to it after three months of seclusion.

The town is certainly buzzing this week and as time goes by I’m sure we’ll all settle into our routines of mask wearing and sanitising.

Joe and I have been distributing new leaflets and posters around the businesses entitled ‘Oban Minded’ to emphasis the need for everyone to follow the advice and be kind to one another, especially as we all get used to the new ways of working which can be quite stressful until we’re more confident in what we’re doing.

Observe social distancing, B considerate, Allow more time to travel, Normal service has not yet been resumed, Maintain hand hygiene, In shops and on public transport cover your face,

New protocols – new ways of working, Do explore our hidden gems, Experience more, Don’t leave home if you’re displaying symptoms of Covid-19.

Catchy, isn’t it?

If you would like copies of the leaflet or poster then please let us know by emailing info@bid4oban.co.uk or calling at the BID4Oban office on Stevenson Street which will be open until noon most days.

Last week’s photograph was of the restaurant door at the Columba Hotel, which I’d never noticed before, and this week’s photograph is up a side street, but which one?
