- United Auctions, Dalmally, Saturday September 12: Feeding Ewes Leading Prices per Kilo

sold 8147 Lambs & Sheep of all classes. This sale included the Principal Dalmally Sale for Blackface Wedder lambs. The 6723 Blackface Wedder lambs averaged £53.05 (+ £14.03) per head and 190.7 pence per kilo (+ 53.1p). All lambs (7325) averaged £53.53 (+£13.67) per head or 191.98 (+52.76p) pence per kilo. The entry of Blackface Wedder Lambs attracted the largest attendance of buyers ever seen at this centre for this sale. Overall, an excellent selection of stock sold extremely well which resulted in a tremendous atmosphere at the centre whilst obeying all Covid19 restrictio­ns.

sold 3471 sheep of all classes. Lambs averaged £70.70 (+ £18.06) per head and 203.3 pence per kilo (+ 49.6 pence per kilo). An excellent show of quality bred lambs was presented to a good following of buyers. The top end of lambs suitable for immediate slaughter and the smallest end of long keeping lambs enjoyed the best of the rise albeit medium sized lambs were also in keen demand. Ewes sold at levels in keeping with current trends.
