CONGRATULATING LEARNER ACHIEVEMENT

SQA RESULTS DAY 2021

-

Last Tuesday almost 137,000 young people from across Scotland received the results for their Nationals, Highers, Advanced Highers, and a whole series of other courses, certificates, and awards.

Everyone at SQA congratulates you on your achievements and hard work in what has been an exceptional year.

These are a strong set of results, and reflect your skills, knowledge and understanding, and whether you continue with your learning at school or move on to further/higher education, training or employment, you and your parents/carers can be proud of your achievements.

You can also be confident that your results are credible and fair, and are what employers, colleges, and universities are looking for. You can find out more about the credibility of this year’s qualifications,

and how the national standard was applied at – www.sqa.org.uk/learners and blogs.sqa.org.uk/awarding2021/

The whole Scottish education system, including learners, parents and carers, has worked together to develop and deliver this year’s alternative certification model that made sure that you received the qualifications you deserved.

Qualifications will always be a crucial part of an individuals’ learning and training experience. They give you a goal to work towards, prove to others what you know and what you can do, and help us distinguish ourselves from our peers. How they are delivered can vary according to circumstances, and preferences, but they will always align to the required standard. Qualifications are there to help us unlock the path ahead of us, and there is real value in that.
