Award for Benderloch care home
A Benderloch care home has been named as one of the top 20 facilities off its kind in Scotland, writes Fiona Scott.
Etive Care Home received the award from review website carehome.co.uk based on independent reviews that it has received over the course of the year.
Staff say it is testament to the person-centred care that the home prides itself on providing to all its residents and their relatives over what has been a really challenging year for the sector.
Georgie Taylor, home manager said: ‘I am over the moon for my team to have received this award and it is great recognition for all of the support, dedication and personalised care they provide to each and everyone of our residents on a daily basis.
‘Despite it having been a challenging year, the team continue to go over and above to ensure that they offer a fun, caring and homely setting for our residents and their families.’
Carehomes.co.uk annual Care Home Awards 2021 recognises 20 of the top-rated Care Homes in each region of the UK and the Top 20 Care Home Groups in the UK, based on reviews from residents/service users and their family/friends.
‘The awards are based on the individual and group review score, as of June 30, 2021. Georgie added: ‘It is such a privilege for us to be looking after someone’s loved one and receiving this award is so special in that our residents and their friends and families have taken the time to score and provide feedback on the care we provide.
‘This award recognises every member of my team – the carers, catering team, housekeeping, maintenance and admin – all of whom make such a valuable contribution to the care we pride ourselves on offering.
‘Working in this sector is so rewarding and this recognition is fantastic for the home and the local community that we work so closely with.’
