Housing is one of the key issues affecting member businesses in Lochaber Chamber of Commerce.

After consultation with members, we have commissioned an independent research company, 56 Degree Insight, to undertake an analy- sis of the housing needs of our community.

We all think we know what the problems are, and we’ve all heard stories of people struggling to find accommodation, but housing policy needs more than anecdotal evidence and we’ve been urging all local businesses to give us their views to create a robust assessment of our housing situation.

As we head towards the final weeks of the Lochaber Housing Need Analysis, we owe a debt of thanks to those businesses who have completed the questionnaire and those who have fed back to us – there is clearly a lot of thought being put into many of the responses.

We are very appreciative of the time you have taken to assist in our analysis, which we are doing with the support of The Highland Council and local businesses.

We would like to urge those businesses who have not yet participated to please fill in your questionnaire and return it. If, for any reason, you do not have a copy of the questionnaire or have misplaced yours, please email membership@lochaberchamber.co.uk and we will send you a new one.

Once we have gathered the data, this report will be used to inform the decision-making around housing policy in our area and will play a key part in making sure we get the homes we need for our growing community. Thank you.
