Party time for Mànran
Supergroup Mànran are throwing a Hogmanay Party at Oban's Corran Halls.
The gig is one of a string of festive gigs the band are performing hot off the heels of their new album ÙRAR
Oban band Chunks and an all-star ceilidh band will be helping Mànran bring in the New Year.
Killin, Strathpeffer, Stirling and Skye are the other stages where the multi-award-winning trad-rock band will be entertaining audiences with material from ÙRAR alongside a back-catalogue of crowd-pleasers this season.
The well-loved group have spent 11 years at the heart of the trad music scene and released their fourth studio record in October.
The album is the first to feature Oban singer Kim Carnie, who won the Gaelic Singer of the Year Award at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2021, and guitarist Aidan Moodie as the latest members of this unstoppable band.
Having been in high demand as a live act across the world with shows in more than 30 countries, the group are looking forward to playing to an Oban audience.
On Spotify alone, their new album ÙRAR has been streamed over 150,000 times in its first month.
Mànran’s accordion player and founding member Gary Innes, who also presents BBC Radio Scotland’s longest-running radio show Take The
Floor, said: 'We’re delighted to be returning to Oban this festive season and be joined by fans old and new at The Corran Halls.
'We can’t wait to play some tried and tested favourites as well as new tracks from our latest album – it’s just brilliant to be gigging again and we can’t wait to see everyone this festive season.
'The special Hogmanay Party will delight audiences with performances of exciting new music and an array of old favourites. Mànran will also be joined by local band Chunks and an all-star ceilidh band to bring in the New Year alongside a few more local surprises.

Mànran will be at Strathpeffer Pavilion on Tuesday December 28, Stirling is sold out and tickets are still available for Killin's Mclaren Hall on Thursday December 30.
