United Auctions conducted a sale of farm machinery and accessories at Oban Livestock Market on behalf of the representatives of the late Anne MacLarty, Glenshellach.

All items were sold at high values and to a wide radius of farmers who knew the late Anne MacLarty.
Conducting the sale on behalf of United Auctions was retiring Auctioneer Donald Morrison who said afterwards that it was fitting and appropriate and an honour to conduct this auction as he had known Anne since arriving in Oban as a junior, in 1973. Prime heifers sold to 278ppkg for a Limousin from W Dandie & Sons, Learielaw purchased by D Campbell & Son, Butchers, Callander and to £1,616 for a Limousin again from Learielaw purchased by G Kirk & Son, Butchers, Denny.
Prime bullocks sold to 245ppkg on three occasions for a Limousin from A Pettigrew, Faskine and twice from J & J Wylie, Knockhouse purchased by W Pinkerton, Helensburgh; T Johnston & Son, Butchers, Falkirk and W Stark, Twechar and to £1,537 for a Limousin from Knockhouse purchased by J Gilvear & Sons, Stirling.
