Puppets to plug prize
THUNDERBIRDS are go with posh Lady Penelope and chauffeur Parker’s no- strings plug for a bank.
The puppets appear as bank customers in an ad for Halifax’s annual super draw in June, where two customers win £500,000.
A further three get £ 100,000 and 100 savers receive £1,000.
This is on top of their monthly draw now offering £100 prizes to 1,500 instead of 500 customers.
Since its first draw in 2011, the Halifax Savers Prize Draw has given away more than £42million.
Other characters from the 60s TV series will appear on social media, including top tips for saving from Brains, aimed at encouraging young people to save. Halifax has also used old kids’ TV cartoon favourites such as Top Cat and Scooby- Doo and Shaggy in adverts.
