‘ Our girl a life-saver’
LINE of Duty star Jason Watkins has revealed how the tragic death of his little girl led to another toddler’s life being saved.
Jason and wife Clara lost two- year- old daughter Maude in 2011.
Doctors had failed to diagnose sepsis and the actor went on to talk about the blood condition on a radio show.
He later got a message from a woman who had heard him and realised her friend’s daughter was suffering from sepsis.
Father-of-four Jason, 50 – who plays forensic investigator Tim Ifield in the BBC police drama – said: “It turned out the information she had heard me give out saved that toddler’s life. That was humbling. Sepsis is a huge issue.”
