Star’s split traumatic’
COMIC Rob Brydon has told of the “trauma” of divorce and the benefits of being an older dad.
The Gavin & Stacey star, back on TV next month in The Trip with pal Steve Coogan, said: “You lose excitement with marriage.
“You can’t have everything though. I’d love to know what could be more traumatic than divorce.”
Brydon, 51, has three children with first wife Martina Jones and two with his second, Claire Holland, the youngest of which is five.
He said: “For a man of my age, my kids are young.”
He told The Times magazine being an older dad makes him appreciate fatherhood more.
The new series of The Trip, on SkyAtlantic from April 6, sees the comic pair eat their way round Spain.
