AA is king of road for car rescue
Consumer Correspondent THE AA has won Britain’s battle of the breakdown services.
It pushed the RAC into fourth place in an annual poll of more than 50,000 drivers.
And it overtook the smaller and cheaper GEM Motoring Assist, which had topped the Auto Express magazine survey for the past three years.
Third place went to Britannia Rescue, up one spot on the previous year, while the RAC in fourth was also an improvement of one place on 12 months earlier.
That left Green Flag bottom of the survey of the five biggest British breakdown services after members criticised the company for being slow and unfriendly.
