Wolf cubs ahead of the pack
WOLVES could soon be howling around our countryside after a pack of cubs was brought over for a major study.
Scientists want to compare the behaviour of the six 10-month-old siblings to domestic dogs.
The cubs, named Elvis, Moby, Sting, Lemmy, PJ and KD, were sent from Sweden to Wildwood Escot Park in Devon.
The last UK grey wolf was shot in the 18th century and there has been much debate about “rewilding” them. If they are, it is likely to be in northern Scotland.
