Huge Brexit demo
DEMONSTRATORS march through London yesterday during a massive protest against Brexit.
Up to 100,000 people gathered to make a last-ditch call for Britain to remain a member of the EU.
Prime Minister Theresa May is due to launch the exit process this Wednesday by triggering Article 50. The Unite for Europe march ended with a rally in Parliament Square, yards from the scene of last week’s terror attack.
Organisers went ahead with the demonstration after talks with police.
Lib Dem leader Tim Farron told the protesters: “Democracy continues, free speech continues, our way of life continues. Terrorism will not win.”
