Car-lassic in 30 parts

A RETIRED mechanic has paid £ 2,700 for a 1930 open-top Triumph car that came in 30 pieces.

The Super Seven Tourer, which could fetch three times the sum once rebuilt, was found in a barn.

Its owner died before he finished restoring it.

TV auctioneer Charles Hanson, who organised the sale in Etwall, near Derby, said rebuilding it “will be a labour of love” The royal blue motor has a boot with a pop-up “dickey” seat.
