SEA LION SCARE FOR CHILD

A LITTLE girl almost drowned after a sea lion caught her dress and pulled her into the water.

The child had been feeding the wild animal on a pier when it grabbed her clothing.

Footage of the incident, in British Columbia, Canada, clocked up 25 million YouTube views this week. A man is seen diving in to save the youngster.

Marine expert Andrew Trutes, of the University of British Columbia, said: “It was a male California sea lion. They are huge. They are not circus performers.”
