Mother has baby in car

A DAD delivered his wife’s baby at the roadside after getting lost while driving to the hospital.

Dave Prince pulled over and helped wife Laura give birth to their baby Poppy before wrapping her in a towel they had in the car.

The couple were heading f or Tunbridge Wel l s Hospital in Kent, but were thrown into panic when they discovered the A21 near Tonbridge was shut.

Laura, 25, who had the couple’s first daughter, Ellie, 15 months ago, said: “Dave pulled over to find directions but I knew at this point we didn’t have time.”

Poppy was taken by ambulance to hospital for a quick check over before the family were released.
