BORIS Johnson is desperately trying to convince his boss Theresa May he’s not trying to snatch her job.
Westminster is buzzing with rumours that the Foreign Secretary is planning a coup.
So a source close to Boris was forced to put out the message that the claims were “total and utter b****cks.”
The source added: “He fully supports the PM, and wants the party to come together to deliver Brexit.”
Boris is regarded as the favourite in any leadership contest because of his popularity among the 150,000 party members who would make the final decision.
The story of last year’s Tory leadership battle will be retold tonight at 9pm in a BBC2 docudrama alled Theresa v Boris.
