It s flaming 30C in June
BRITAIN is sizzling in 30C (86F) of sunshine this weekend – and it should stay fine for the week, with temperatures in the mid to high 20s.
Bookies have cut the odds on this being the hottest ever summer to 2-1 from 5-1, following a flurry of bets in the last 24 hours.
Coral is offering 5-2 that this is the warmest ever June and it is 2-1 that 100F (38C) is reached this year.
It is also odds on at 1-2 with Coral that there will be a hosepipe ban somewhere in Britain in 2017.
“We have been inundated with bets on this summer being the hottest and odds have plummeted quicker than a melting ice cream in the sun,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“Betting also suggests we could be set for a dry summer because we are odds-on for a hosepipe ban.”
