Breast cancer drug victory

-

A REVOLUTIONARY breast cancer drug that can extend lives is finally being offered on the NHS.

Kadcyla can help terminally ill patients live for six months longer. Some have lived up to four more years on it, with few side effects.

The NHS is able to give it routinely after drug maker Roche slashed its price.

Breast Cancer Care called the decision “monumental”. At least 1,200 women a year will benefit in England.
