WE KANE GO ON TO WIN CUP

-

HARRY KANE reckons England have all the weapons they need to win the World Cup in 2018. But the Spurs star admits the clock is ticking for Gareth Southgate and his stars to find the key to unlock their talent in Russia next summer. Hitman Kane, installed as England’s new captain after Southgate ditched Wayne Rooney, says: “It’s just little building blocks we need to put in place. “We’ve got more than enough talent to win the World Cup, so it’s just finding a way to do it.So when we meet up again in September, there’s no need to panic, to rush anything.” Despite a 3-2 defeat in the friendly with France and the disappointing 2-2 qualifying draw against Scotland in Glasgow, Kane played his part with the face-saver at Hampden Park and two more goals in Paris. And he admits there’s plenty to be excited about for club and country. “Yeah, exactly. There’s a lot to look forward to. Going into that World Cup, there is no better trophy to win. “There’s still a lot to improve on but I’m looking forward to it. It’ll take willpower and hard work on the training ground – there’s no other way. “We need to make every hour count and every day count because we don’t get long together, and that’s part and parcel of international football.”
