Gard mum: Doc abuse must stop
SICK Charlie Gard’s parents have begged for death threats against doctor and nurses to stop.
Great Ormond Street Hospital said police were called over the “shocking and disgraceful tide of hostility” against its staff.
Charlie’s parents said: “We don’t condone abusive or threatening behaviour to GOSH staff. There is a line that shouldn’t be crossed.”
The couple are battling for permission to take the 11-month-old to the US for treatment, but GOSH says this would not help.
The hospital’s chair, Mary MacLeod, said: “Staff have received abuse both in the street and online.
“Thousands of abusive messages have been sent to doctors and nurses – whose life’s work is to care for sick children.” She said other parents had been abused.
Constituency MP Keir Starmer called for the abuse to stop, saying it is “totally unacceptable”. KHIM Hang, 74, is enjoying “marital bliss” after marrying a calf she claims is hubby Tol reincarnated in Kratie, Cambodia.
