If the finance company told you of the existence of the kill switch and made it a condition of the finance, you are stuck with it.Taking the kill switch out would therefore breach the finance agreement. TERMS AND CONDITIONS If you were not expressly informed about the kill switch check the T&Cs of your agreement. TAKING IT OUT If you were not informed of the kill switch and there is no mention in theT&Cs, or if there is but you simply did not spot it,write a letter to the finance company and tell them: You did not agree to the kill switch being fitted. You were not informed about it and it was not obvious from paperwork you were given or signed. Its presence does not form part of the contract. You want the kill switch to be removed within seven days at their cost, failing which you will have it removed and send them the bill.
