£170M WIN ON EUROMILLIONS

THE biggest-ever EuroMillions jackpot – £170million – went to a punter on the holiday isle of Gran Canaria.

The winning ticket was bought in the El Mirador Shopping Centre in Las Palmas on the Spanish island. The winner is yet to be identified.

Camelot estimated that more than 26,000 tickets were sold in Britain in the run up to Friday night’s draw. A series of rollovers meant the jackpot reached its maximum size.

The winning numbers were 01, 09, 15, 19 and 25 and lucky star numbers 01 and 07.

A single winner would now be richer than chef Jamie Oliver, worth £150million and singer Adele on £125 million.

Four UK ticket holders each won £900,571.
