2nd nuke site strike

A SECOND group of workers at the Sellafield nuclear site have voted to strike.

Union Unite said members backed action by nine to one in protest at a 1.5 per cent wage rise offer.

The union said it would reveal strike dates soon.

Regional officer Graham Williams said the proposed increase is well below the current 3.9 per cent retail price index inflation rate.

Members of the GMB union staged a 24- hour strike at Sellafield last month in the same row.
