Tragedy at pub canal

POLICE searching for a missing man have pulled a body from a canal close to where he was last seen.

CCTV showed Caspar Blackburn, 22, leaving the Slug and Lettuce Waterside in Sale, Gtr Manchester, at around 2am on Sunday.

A young man’s body was recovered from the nearby Bridgewater Canal at 10am yesterday morning.

Identification is yet to take place but Caspar’s family have been informed. Police are trying to “determine the circumstances”.
