Sir David a man of note
SIR David Attenborough has topped a list of “ethical champions” in a vote on who we would like to see on the new £20 note.
Forty per cent made the TV legend their first choice from a list of 15 candidates, while second-placed Prince Charles got 7 per cent
Author JK Rowling got 4 and human rights activist Anita Roddick and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby both had 3.
The YouGov poll for Good Money Week, from today to Saturday, comes ahead of the new £20 note launching in 2020.
Charlene Cranny of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association said: “It’s no surprise Sir David came top. With his conservation work, he’d act as a constant reminder to make ethical choices.”
