Dear John, you’re dead
A GRANDAD got a letter saying he had died, sent by a bungling insurance firm.
Phoenix Life wrote to John Wilson’s ex- wife Doreen, who he divorced in 2000, to “update our record and proceed”.
Mr Wilson, 83, of Abergele, Conwy, who opened the note, said: “I’m fully alive. I want to know why this happened.”
A spokesman for the life insurer admitted the blunder and said the firm would send him compensation.
“We are sorry for the upset this caused,” he said.
