Driver who killed boy avoids jail

A WOMAN whose Range Rover killed a boy aged nine has been spared jail.

Ethan Owens suffered head, pelvis, and spinal injuries after being hit by Zoe Bennison’s Range Rover.

Thee boy died eight days later in hospital when his life support machine was turned off.

Bennison, 26, of Hartlepool, Co Durham, admitted causing death by dangerous driving.

Teesside crown court sentenced her to nine months in prison but suspended it for 18 months.

She was also banned for two years for February’s tragic accident in the town.
