DOCTOR Foster’s ending on BBC1 was darker than a pint of Guinness and twice as bitter. Warring exes Gemma and Simon’s innocent teenage son Tom finished up the real victim. “What you thought was the fight was merely the warning,” declared Gemma at the final voiceover. Not the ending most were expecting but poetic justice for the worst parents in the world. Series two was nowhere near as good as series one and by the end I was no longer team Gemma. She lost me when she shagged her ex and didn’t even video it for revenge use. I mean, really!
