Brexit vote over rights

LABOUR is to force a Commons vote this week to ensure worker rights are protected after Brexit.

Shadow Brexit Secretary Keir Starmer fears the Tories are planning to water down rules on paid holidays and equal rights.

He is to challenge the Withdrawal Bill, which will transfer all EU laws, including protection from the sack, into British ones when we leave Europe in 2019.

Sir Keir said: “Taking back control did not mean handing ministers power to tear up worker rights.”
