SALUTE TO WAR HORSES
THE bravery of war horses will be marked by pet charity Blue Cross at today’s Remembrance Day Parade in Central London.
With the public’s support the charity cared for 6,000 horses and 18,000 dogs who served in the First World War. Blue Cross also provided quarantine kennels to reunite war dogs with their owners or adopted soldiers.
In the Second World War it cared for animals hurt in the Blitz.
Practice manager Louise Newman said: “I’m so proud to be part of such an organisation.”
